Geoff Burt is working at CIGI as part of the Security and Defense Forum Internship Program. While at CIGI, Geoff will be part of our Global and Human Security Program, working with Mark Sedra. Geoff has a B.A. in Political Science from U of W, and an M.A. in International Relations from the University of Toronto.

Mark Sedra is a Senior Fellow at CIGI and leads the Centre's Global and Human Security Program. He also teaches in the Political Science Department of the University of Waterloo. His current research focuses on the topic of post-conflict state-building with an emphasis on security issues. He has conducted research on a number of countries and regions, including Northern Ireland, the Middle East, and the Balkans; however, the bulk of his research in recent years has centered on Afghanistan.

Anne-Marie Sánchez joined CIGI as a Balsillie Fellow in September 2005 and is now a Project Officer. Anne-Marie completed her Master of Arts in Political Science from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2006. Her research interests include International Human Rights and Transitional Justice. Anne-Marie is also an alumnus of the department of Political Science from the University of Western Ontario (2004).

A graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University's global studies program, Brandon also has a background in journalism and previously served as a media training officer with Journalists for Human Rights in Zambia. Since April 2008, he has been producing online content in a variety of capacities for the Centre for International Governance Innovation.
